Little Train Engineer

Happy Halloween!  Kai has really enjoyed all the seasonal festivities this year.  He loves pumpkins and he loves to say "boo".  In keeping with his fascination with trains, and especially all things Thomas, Kai dressed up as a railroad engineer for Halloween.  His favorite part of the costume was, of course, his Thomas hat.  It was a little big, but cute all the same!  The only part of his costume that didn't quite work out was the red bandana -- he didn't want to wear it around his neck so I ended up cutting off a corner of it and putting it in the pocket of his overalls so it would at least still be part of the ensemble.  But one really good part of the outfit was that I could layer him in three shirts under the overalls so he didn't have to wear a jacket in the chilly weather.  There's nothing worse for a kid than having to wear a coat over your costume!  I thought Kai ended up looking super cute, and he and Mark had a great time trick-or-treating.  It was a very fun night!

Excited before trick-or-treating

Extra large, extra cute hat

Heading out

On their way to the annual court party

Back at home, enjoying the treats

Happy Halloween!
